Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy

Oh the power of flowers. What is aromatherapy and who would benefit from it?  Aromatherapy has been around for centuries.  Fragrance, perfumery and scent are all enticing and interesting. But aromatherapy is actually pure hopefully organic essential oils which are extracted from the leaf, stem, flower, seed, or root of a plant.

There are several methods of extraction. Essential oils are more potent than fragrance oils. Fragrance oils are synthesized. Essential oils hold clinical value and various blends combined create a synthesis.

I had a client who was so exhausted after her chemo treatments, I said how about we just make you a little blend to uplift your spirit without putting on your skin? She loved the sensation and the euphoria she felt from the inhalation process.   I chose Orange as my primary oil and added some other oils that would energize her naturally.

Another interesting fact.  Coco Channel was the first perfumer to combine fragrance and essential oils in her creations.  She was also the first to create a unisex fragrance.  There are many oils out there that have contraindications and affect people very differently. Education on where the oils come from, how will they be used, what dilution and what is the method of use, ie., roll on, salve, inhalant, massage oil or perhaps a hydrosol. Many oils can be toxic when one is not aware of the power of plant medicines.

Kim can help you make or customize a bespoke blend.

Schedule an aromatherapy online, phone or workshop opportunity.

We can have fun and make diffusers, sprays, zodiac blends, massage oil blends and more. Let us know your needs.

We can learn how to incorporate crystals and flowers and colors energetically to become your sacred blend that will then be your healing balm or tincture.  Roll ons are my favorite as they are easy to create and easy to travel with.

She can intuitively feel your essence, and help you create, and name your signature aromatherapy blend.
